BIOGRAPHY
Internationally recognized, highly respected, and widely influential, Jojo Lorquet, while affluent in the Haitian Music Industry (HMI) with his “Exit Band” back in 1985, and after realizing that the HMI needed exposure, and a proper venue to report the entertainment news, had decided to venture into the world of entertainment news and media; ergo, “Exit Entertainment!” The first of its kind, EXIT Entertainment is a well established, informational, entertainment news television show, which Jojo founded in 1987, just two years after the development of Exit Band. A One Man Wonder… Executive Producer, Director, Music Manager, Promoter, Media Mogul, and Host, Jojo Lorquet, who, on January 16th, 2010, has just celebrated Exit Entertainment’s 22nd year anniversary, and who, just two years ago, for his 20th anniversary, released a CD/DVD collection showcasing an astounding array of music compilations, featuring Compa Music’s best artists.
Formerly residing on UHF television for 19 years (1987-2006), EXIT Entertainment has moved to WRNN (RNN-TV); the largest Northeastern network in the Country (USA). The goal is to showcase the beauty of our people, music, and culture to the rest of the world, and to entertain and give the Haitian/Caribbean audience something they can connect with and be proud of; and most importantly, to let our people know… Yes We Can! Exit Entertainment has been branded the undisputed #1 Haitian Entertainment News Television Show in the world.
Exit has expanded to include a website “exitentertainment.com”
(formerly “exittvshow.com) where viewers can log on and watch continuous
music videos of all genres: Reggaeton, Salsa, Zouk, American Classics, R&B,
Compa (of course), and much more… movies of all types, including:
Haitian, African, Chinese Karate, and American… live concerts and
festivals, such as: The Compafest in Miami, and live performances from all
the hottest bands in the HMI. There are 41 channels which are changed weekly
so that there is always something different to see. The website also features
Ads for upcoming parties which are updated daily. You can also watch the
current week’s show on the EXIT Entertainment channel, which is posted
every Saturday night after the show airs on television (Wednesdays at 10pm
on WRNN). This amazing website even features channels which are linked to
some Major Television Networks Direct from Haiti, LIVE, via satellite.

Originating in 1985, from New York City, Exit Band was created by The World Renowned, Leading Pioneer, Television/Music Producer, Promoter, and Media Mogul, Jojo Lorquet. At the time, Exit Band was the first band to incorporate females for background vocals and dancing in their act. Back then, Exit Band only played for private parties; the band included a very impressive group of musicians who have, since then, made great strides in Haitian Music. Successful and prominent, some of these music greats are:
Tico Pasquet, co-owner of Magnum Band, former drummer for Exit Band; Lalane, famous keyboardist; Billy Fleurima, formerly with Tabou Combo, started as a second guitarist for Exit Band; Ramponeau, drummer of Skah Shah… and the list goes on…
Jojo Lorquet, who has worked with the very first all-female band Risqué, is also accredited with creating the second all-female band in Haitian Music History, Manmzel. He has created and produced such bands as Summer, Zo de Ti Leslie, and solo artists, such as Shirley Degoute.
Jojo Lorquet was the promotional muscle behind such power bands as Zin, and Phantom, and was instrumental in many levels of their rise to success.
Jojo Lorquet, for 17 years, was the moving force behind Michel Martelly, a.k.a. Sweet Micky, who has deemed himself, and many would agree, “The President of Compa Music!”
This time around Exit is comprised of an all new assemblage of very talented musicians and artists who promise to deliver a new and exciting twist to the traditional Kompa which we all grew up with and love.
Jojo Lorquet, is putting together a Mega Band by the name of “EXIT All Stars.” This group of legacy inspired genii is set to take us on a musical journey through Compa’s best time-honored, yet, fashionably transcendent sounds the Haitian Music Industry has ever experienced. Exit All Stars is music à la mode. Très chic!
Exit All Stars is a branch of the Exit Entertainment tree whose thriving fruit is ripe for the picking. Traditional style, laced with original vibes from the “new generation” of Compa Music, Exit All Stars offers food for the soul and is destined to flourish.
Exit Entertainment has never been just some entity whose sole purpose was to entertain and report the latest news, ads, and gossip… Exit Entertainment is movement with a mission... and that mission is to move our people into the 21st century and all of its glory, without re-moving the culture that makes us who we are… simply, beautifully, and proudly… Haitian!!!... On a mission!
